Her right leg was 200% larger than her left leg. She lived feeling alone for a long time. Through lifelong adversity with her disability\, she developed an activist mindset as she feverishly fought to better her quality of life through medicine\, nutrition\, fitness\, and faith. Against all odds\, her journey led her to overcome the worst known severity of lymphedema\, and she now manages it with minimal maintenance. She left the corporate world to pursue her calling to be a voice for those with disabilities and live a philanthropic life.Today\, Amy is a global advocate for lymphedema awareness and education. She is the founder of Rivera Hybrid Solutions\, a company that specializes in distributing innovative compression bandages for lymphedema patients. She is a Belleville native and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications: Advertising\, Marketing\, and Public Relations from Lindenwood University. Kiearra believes her 4-years of experience working in Media Marketing has molded her recruitment and communication skills with her transition into public health. The Pandemic was successful at highlighting what Kiearra valued most\, which is her overall mantra\, “To aspire to inspire when it comes to creating real change in the community”. \nShe is responsible for developing relationships with departments\, jurisdictions and other agencies\, schools\, and colleges to develop potential sources for volunteers needed during public health exercise or response efforts. In addition to recruitment\, she also is responsible for the unit coordination\, and emergency preparedness training throughout the county. Kiearra is a certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor and has certified almost 150 St. Clair County employees and MRC volunteers in CPR during her 2-year tenure.
