DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””] \nTOPIC: SOS Circle\nWHEN: Wednesday\, December 18\, 2024 – 12:00PM-1:00PM CST\nHosted By: Michell Stockmann\n\n\nWhat is an S.O.S. Circle?\n\n\n\n\nAn S.O.S. Circle is more than just a meeting—it’s a transformative experience where women come together to uplift and empower each other. Attendees have the opportunity to forge deep connections\, dispel feelings of isolation\, and emerge stronger\, more resilient\, and united in their journey towards personal and professional fulfillment. \nFor many women\, celebrating successes can be challenging due to societal expectations and fear of being perceived as boastful. Likewise\, sharing struggles may feel daunting as it requires vulnerability and the fear of judgment. \nIn a guided open forum setting\, participants are invited to bravely share their triumphs and challenges\, knowing that they are among a community of women who understand and empathize. \nThe acronym S.O.S. stands for “Share Our Successes” or “Share Our Struggles” and embodies the core purpose of the circle. This offers a safe space for women to bravely share their struggles and vulnerabilities\, recognizing that doing so is not a sign of weakness but of strength and resilience. \n\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Virtual Meeting - Oh\, That's Why I Do That! Understanding the Neuroscience Behind Our Best (and Worst) Behavior
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nGUEST SPEAKER: Ali Carson\nTOPIC: Oh\, That’s Why I Do That! Understanding the Neuroscience Behind Our Best (and Worst) Behavior\nWHEN: Wednesday\, August 21\, 2024 – 12:00PM-1:00PM CST\nHosted By: Michell Stockmann\nHave you ever had a moment where something happens and\, before you’re even really aware\, you react – and then are left thinking “Why did I do that?” Our brains are fascinating machines. There is a miniscule space of time between when something happens and when we respond to it – .2 seconds to be exact. That’s not very much time! The good news is that if we become more aware of the things that trigger reactions for us\, and why they trigger us\, we can re-wire our brains to more productive reactions. \nThis program will introduce participants to the SCARF model – an easy framework that helps you remember the five key domains that influence our behavior in social situations. Through group discussion and presentation\, we will dive into typical responses to workplace events and learn how to recognize when our behaviors are causing a positive or negative response in others. Then we’ll take that a step further and develop an action plan for anticipating reactions in ourselves and others\, then identifying specific strategies to mitigate potential negative consequences. \nBy the end of this program\, participants will: \n• Learn a framework (SCARF) to remember the five key domains that influence behavior in social situations. \n• Identify their personal stressors and triggers. \n• Develop an action plan for anticipating and mitigating reactions \nAli Carson is an experienced coach and dynamic facilitator with two decades experience working in all aspects of human resources\, learning and development. Ali holds several professional certifications\, showcasing her dedication to excellence. As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach\, she specializes in helping clients discover and maximize their strengths. Ali is also a Results-Certified Brain-Based Coach\, bringing tools founded in neuroscience to her strengths-based approach to create impactful coaching and learning experiences for her clients. \nAs Founder & CEO of Movere Coaching\, Ali is dedicated to empowering talent\, cultivating authentic leadership\, and creating momentum to help individuals and teams achieve their goals. Her approach is rooted in authenticity\, faith\, a bias for action\, and a commitment to creating positive workplaces where everyone can thrive. \nOutside of the office\, Ali is a wife\, sister\, and mother to two teenagers and one adorable doggie.
