SUMMARY:O'Fallon Chapter Meeting - Skincare Myths Busted
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nSpeaker: Angie Springer\nTopic: Skincare Myths Busted\nWhere: Bella Milano – 455 Regency Park O’Fallon\, IL 62269\nMonday\, August 26\, 2024 – 11:30AM-1:00PM CST\nMy life mission is to spread H.O.P.E. by Helping Others Propel to Excellence personally\, professionally\, and passionately. Since 2011\, my vehicle to live out this mission has been skincare and cosmetics. I believe that when a woman will share her face with you\, she will also share her heart. I have been in leadership with Mary Kay for 13 years where I not only educate and inform on products\, ingredients\, application\, and self care but I train\, coach\, and mentor women to live their best lives while providing choices. I watch women gain confidence from the outside in by using the products and from the inside out by investing time in their personal development journey. \nI came to Mary Kay following successful engineering and real estate careers that served our family well in different seasons of life. Those experiences prepared me for the grit\, tenacity\, and persistence it takes to be a self-employed leader in the direct selling industry. Every struggle and success during previous seasons shape us into the current better version of ourselves. I have learned to surrender things that are out of my control\, control the controllables\, and effectively lead those who have been divinely assigned to me with faith\, empathy\, and authenticity. \nI am a wife\, mom of 2 daughters\, avid reader\, nature and water lover\, soccer enthusiast\, bleacher mom\, and foster dog mom \nPresentation Takeaways: \n1. Understand the value of protecting our body’s largest organ \n2. Learn ways to defend against our environment\, delay the signs of aging\, and deliver real results \n3. Bust the most common myths surrounding skincare[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]Contact this Speaker Directly:\nAngie Springer: Independent Sales Director with Mary Kay  \nEMAIL: angie.springer.mk@gmail.com \nPHONE: 618-304-7251[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nAll chapter meetings are FREE for anyone to attend.  YES!  You read that right. \n\n(We just ask that if a chapter meeting is at a restaurant location\, that you purchase a meal to support the location that is so graciously hosting our event. Don’t forget to tip your server a little extra as most restaurants are struggling with staffing issues and we want to make sure they know how much we appreciate them!) \nEnjoy a proven\, structured system that embraces the building of relationships which in turn will grow your business efficiencies\, sales\, exposure\, and business processes. \nCome meet and learn from panelists\, experts\, and local women in your WEW chapter.  You will also find allies who want to help with your success and are ready to share their resources and expertise to help you take that next step in your personal and professional life. \nFor information about this chapter\, please contact our corporate team at hello@wewnational.com. \n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Virtual Meeting - Oh\, That's Why I Do That! Understanding the Neuroscience Behind Our Best (and Worst) Behavior
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nGUEST SPEAKER: Ali Carson\nTOPIC: Oh\, That’s Why I Do That! Understanding the Neuroscience Behind Our Best (and Worst) Behavior\nWHEN: Wednesday\, August 21\, 2024 – 12:00PM-1:00PM CST\nHosted By: Michell Stockmann\nHave you ever had a moment where something happens and\, before you’re even really aware\, you react – and then are left thinking “Why did I do that?” Our brains are fascinating machines. There is a miniscule space of time between when something happens and when we respond to it – .2 seconds to be exact. That’s not very much time! The good news is that if we become more aware of the things that trigger reactions for us\, and why they trigger us\, we can re-wire our brains to more productive reactions. \nThis program will introduce participants to the SCARF model – an easy framework that helps you remember the five key domains that influence our behavior in social situations. Through group discussion and presentation\, we will dive into typical responses to workplace events and learn how to recognize when our behaviors are causing a positive or negative response in others. Then we’ll take that a step further and develop an action plan for anticipating reactions in ourselves and others\, then identifying specific strategies to mitigate potential negative consequences. \nBy the end of this program\, participants will: \n• Learn a framework (SCARF) to remember the five key domains that influence behavior in social situations. \n• Identify their personal stressors and triggers. \n• Develop an action plan for anticipating and mitigating reactions \nAli Carson is an experienced coach and dynamic facilitator with two decades experience working in all aspects of human resources\, learning and development. Ali holds several professional certifications\, showcasing her dedication to excellence. As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach\, she specializes in helping clients discover and maximize their strengths. Ali is also a Results-Certified Brain-Based Coach\, bringing tools founded in neuroscience to her strengths-based approach to create impactful coaching and learning experiences for her clients. \nAs Founder & CEO of Movere Coaching\, Ali is dedicated to empowering talent\, cultivating authentic leadership\, and creating momentum to help individuals and teams achieve their goals. Her approach is rooted in authenticity\, faith\, a bias for action\, and a commitment to creating positive workplaces where everyone can thrive. \nOutside of the office\, Ali is a wife\, sister\, and mother to two teenagers and one adorable doggie. She enjoys exploring nature through camping trips in the family RV filled with hiking\, paddleboarding\, and discovering great local restaurants.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text css=””]Contact this Speaker:\nAli Carson: Founder & CEO Movere Coaching LLC \nEmail: ali@moverecoaching.com \nWebsite: http://www.moverecoaching.com \nLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ali-carson/ \nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/moverecoaching/ \nPhone Number: 6362887494 \n [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:[CANCELLED]Houston Chapter Meeting - Branding Videos and Photography

With over two decades of experience as a successful photographer\, Gabriela’s life took an unexpected turn with the onset of the pandemic. Facing canceled photoshoots and lost clients\, she found herself searching for purpose amidst the uncertainty. \nBut rather than succumbing to despair\, Gabriela chose to renew her mind and find ways to make a positive impact. As she decluttered her house\, she was reminded of those who had lost their jobs and were in dire need. A simple act of kindness to one family sparked a fire within Gabriela to do more. \nUsing her platform on social media\, Gabriela began rallying her community to help those in need. Through her subdivision’s Facebook page and personal account\, friends and neighbors donated clothing\, household items\, and furniture for families struggling to make ends meet. The response was overwhelming\, fueling Gabriela’s passion even further. \nWhat began as a mission to provide basic necessities quickly grew into something much larger. Gabriela started Gabriela’s Families in Need\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping low-income families. With the support of her friends and partners\, she has been able to assist 252 families and counting\,offering hope\, opportunity\, and comfort in challenging times. \nAdding yet another dimension to her already multi-faceted life\, she wholeheartedly supports her son’s company\, Fly Factory Custom T-Shirts\, and Promotional Products\, serving as his trusted personal assistant. This demonstrates her unparalleled commitment to family and the success of loved ones. \nOne of Gabriela’s lifelong dreams\, as she prayerfully became the official photographer for Lakewood Church after steadfastly believing in its realization for 14 long years. Even though her season at Lakewood ended she still gets excited to share that story.
