Speaker Bio:

I am a woman. A mother. A licensed master social worker in New York City. An international award winner for my research and presentation on psychological abuse. A UN representative for the International Federation of Social Workers. I am a survivor.

Before that, I was a victim. I was an innocent woman who saw the good in people when they couldn’t see it in themselves. I had compassion for those that didn’t seem to find it. I was also naïve and vulnerable to those that could see right through me like my narcissistic ex. My boys and I ended up in the NYC shelter system.

My past experiences taught me to empower not only myself but to be given the opportunity to empower others through a voice of experience.

I would greatly appreciate any opportunities you may have to speak at events or meetings so that together we can create a stronger future not only for women but their children.

Presentation Title: Homelessness to the United Nations

Description of presentation that we can use for promoting event:

As a little girl, Shenae always imagined the “white picket fence dream”, what she ended up with was the polar opposite. However, she says, if it wasn’t for her vulnerability, inability to see the narcissistic signs, and going through significant trauma, she wouldn’t be exactly where she knows she needs to be… here! Her story is one of the struggles for empowerment. A true story of living with a narcissistic husband (now ex), fighting to give her children a normal life while trying to find her strength to become the woman she always knew she could be. Shenae now works toward empowering women and children not only as a psychotherapist but also as an advocate at the United Nations.

Presenting Experience:

I have presented at multiple events both in-person and virtually. I was even given the opportunity to directly address the U.N. President of the General Assembly in 2021.

Other topics to present:

Narcissism
Empowerment
Homeless Shelters
Mental Health
Children’s Empowerment and their mental health

Presentation takeaways:

Attendees will get a real account of very traumatic experiences that will give them hope, understanding, and perhaps even a little more compassion and awareness for others that may be going through similar situations.
