Since 2011\, my vehicle to live out this mission has been skincare and cosmetics. I believe that when a woman will share her face with you\, she will also share her heart. I have been in leadership with Mary Kay for 13 years where I not only educate and inform on products\, ingredients\, application\, and self care but I train\, coach\, and mentor women to live their best lives while providing choices. I watch women gain confidence from the outside in by using the products and from the inside out by investing time in their personal development journey. \nI came to Mary Kay following successful engineering and real estate careers that served our family well in different seasons of life. Those experiences prepared me for the grit\, tenacity\, and persistence it takes to be a self-employed leader in the direct selling industry. Every struggle and success during previous seasons shape us into the current better version of ourselves. I have learned to surrender things that are out of my control\, control the controllables\, and effectively lead those who have been divinely assigned to me with faith\, empathy\, and authenticity. \nI am a wife\, mom of 2 daughters\, avid reader\, nature and water lover\, soccer enthusiast\, bleacher mom\, and Gigi to our oldest daughter’s fur baby\, and my newest title as a foster dog mom. \n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””] \nContact this Speaker Directly:\nAngie Springer\, Independent Sales Director with Mary Kay\nEMAIL: angie.springer.mk@gmail.com \nPHONE: 618-304-7251 \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text] \nAll chapter meetings are FREE for anyone to attend.  YES!  You read that right. \n\n(We just ask that if a chapter meeting is at a restaurant location\, that you purchase a meal to support the location that is so graciously hosting our event. SUMMARY:Edwardsville Chapter Meeting - Come Talk to Me: How to Actually Communicate so You Connect and Create
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nGUEST SPEAKER: Jenn Whitmer\nTOPIC: Come Talk to Me: How to Actually Communicate so You Connect and Create\nWHERE: Bella Milano – 1063 S State Rte 157 Edwardsville\, IL \nWHEN: Thursday\, October 10\, 2024 – 11:30AM-1:00PM CST\nDon’t we all feel the push/pull of conflict and miscommunication? I personally don’t like it\, but I also know it seems to happen even when I’m working hard to avoid it. This is why Jenn Whitmer is here with us today. \nJenn\, a self-proclaimed recovering conflict-avoider\, has 20+ years of experience leading groups from classrooms and schools to volunteer groups and — hardest of all — herself. \nShe holds graduate certificates in music education\, theology\, and leadership along with a Master of Arts in communication and culture from Webster University\, extended training in conflict resolution\, and certification as an Enneagram coach. She asks big questions that lead to wild dreams and connected ideas and joyful flourish. \nWe are constantly communicating. Literally all the time. And we are constantly making meaning. Our brains are hard-wired for it. \nAnd yet how many times this week did miscommunication happen? And how much time and angst did it cost? \nBut communication is more than making sounds into words. Using researched-backs skills\, you will learn the power of CLEAN communication served with clear steps\, implementation practices\, and a side of laughter. \nPresentation takeaways: \nDescribe the cost of miscommunication with qualitative and quantitative data. \nIdentify the process and purpose of communication (and no\, it’s not just sharing information). \nDetermine the five steps to stop miscommunication before it starts. Keep it CLEAN. \nClarify what steps to take when miscommunication occurs. \nJenn Whitmer helps leaders with Joyosity\, creating positive and profitable culture with complex teams. As an international keynote and TEDx speaker and Enneagram specialist\, Jenn helps organizations retain employees\, increase efficiency\, solve conflict\, and cultivate communication so that work is a joy\, people are whole\, and organizations flourish. (Usually\, that means a lot of laughter!) \nJenn holds graduate certificates in music education\, theology\, and leadership\, along with a Master of Arts in communication and culture from Webster University and certification as an Enneagram coach. While not-at-all-secretly wanting her life to just be a musical\, Jenn lives in St. Louis\, Missouri\, with her husband\, Michael\, their four kids\, and a surly cat that puts up with them all. \nAs a speaker\, consultant\, and Joyosity podcast host\, Jenn has stood in front of thousands of people\, helping them develop the skills to improve their teams. And she’s ready to help you restore the joy of work\, creating a healthy workplace culture that is people-first and purpose-driven. \n [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text css=””] \nContact this Speaker Directly:\nJenn Whitmer: Speaker | Consultant | Joy-Bringer with Consone Consulting\nWebsite: http://jennwhitmer.com \nEmail: jenn@jennwhitmer.com \nLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jennwhitmer \nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/jennwhitmerspeaks/ \nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/jenn_whitmer/ \nPhone: 314-398-8800[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text] \nAll chapter meetings are FREE for anyone to attend.  YES!  You read that right. \n\n(We just ask that if a chapter meeting is at a restaurant location\, that you purchase a meal to support the location that is so graciously hosting our event.
