Friendship Is a Business Strategy

Friendship is a business strategy.
Not so much in a transactional, “what can you do for me” kind of way… but in a real-life, this-is-how-life-actually-works kind of way.
Adult friendships aren’t always easy to build or maintain. (Ask me how I really know!?) We’re ALL busy, we’ve got a lot going on, and it can feel like one more thing to try to fit in. Some of the most valuable relationships in my life and business started as simple connections that turned into friendships over time.
I have a number of women in my circle who are incredible business resources. They refer clients to me, support what I’m doing, and are always in my corner. And you know what? Many of us have never actually done business together. Not because we wouldn’t – there just hasn’t been the need or opportunity.
That doesn’t make the relationship any less valuable. If anything, it makes it stronger.
Because it’s not about the transaction, it’s about the trust, the connection, and knowing someone is thinking of you and supporting you.
So what if we looked at networking a little differently? You know I love to say – we’re not networking – we’re CONNECTworking!
What if you walked into your next WEW meeting simply looking to build one new friendship?
What if you invited someone you met at one chapter to join you at another, just to spend more time together?
What could come from that? Try it and tell me how it goes! To get you started, here’s the list of upcoming WEW meetings.
