Women Empowering Women is a community of professional women committed to building relationships and helping each other succeed. We use the power of community and collaboration to help you take the next step in your personal and professional lives.
Our organization is unique because we believe in inclusivity of women in any stage in their careers from entry level to CEO, from college students just starting in the workforce and those ready to retire from their corporate lives and pursue their next passion. We can learn so much from those brand new to the workforce with fresh, out of the box ideas and insights and those more seasoned employees with experience and trial and error on their side. WEW also welcomes women from any and all industries and we do not limit the number of attendees from a particular industry. We strongly believe in collaboration over competition and find that we can learn so much from others in similar industries. We are stronger together!
FREE In-Person Meetings
You read that right. All Women Empowering Women (WEW) chapter meetings are free for anyone to attend. (Lunch purchase may be suggested or required depending on the venue.) This is why WEW was formed originally and how it has sustained and grown as an organization since then.
Attending an in-person event will allow you to meet and learn from panelists, experts and local women in your WEW chapter. The more you attend you will also find allies who want to help with your success and are ready to share their resources and expertise to help you take that next step in your personal and professional life.
Women Empowering Women (WEW) is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all in-person meeting and event participants. The responsibility for safe and healthy in-person WEW meeting and event environments is shared among the venues, speakers, chapter leaders or organizers, participants and staff. Compliance with some or all of the protocols required may differ from event to event and if anyone feels uncomfortable participating at any in-person event we invite you to attend virtual meetings as a way to stay in touch and connect with others. Thank you for your cooperation, flexibility and understanding as many of these regulations and changes are sometimes out of our control.
Virtual or Live-Stream Meetings
Virtual meetings grew in popularity and is a common way to meet easily with no commute or as a way to preview a Women Empowering Women meeting before attending in-person. We offer Virtual Meetings for those who are unable to physically attend a meeting or for those that wish to connect with other professional women in other locations. Virtual meetings are an extension of our in-person meetings and run with the same agenda and allow for everyone to communicate as if they are in the same room together. (Isn’t technology amazing?!)
We also offer live stream of some of our meetings and events to connect our global community with topics and inspiration that we know are key to professional success. If you can’t make it to the event in person you can learn from the people whose advice you don’t want to miss, by tuning in.
A New Approach to Online Networking
Like a number of other networking websites, our members can connect online with other members in specific industries, cities, or companies. What differentiates us is how we help members network efficiently and effectively online. Some of our paid membership levels allow for members to connect in an exclusive online forum and meeting space. Soon there will be additional ways specific groups can “meet up” and collaborate even more virtually and in-person. There will be free form events and facilitated get-togethers as well as exclusive invite-only workshops and trainings.
Professional Development Resources
Constant learning and developing is critical to having a successful career and thrive personally. All WEW members have access to our ever-expanding resource center of articles, On-Demand webinars, Podcasts & TedTalks, software, apps and more. WEW Experts
Coming Soon – Within the coming year, WEW will also provide opportunities for members to showcase their expertise to the community. For senior women who are experts in their field, we will offer a number of tools for getting your name and brand out there as a WEW Expert and using your skills to educate fellow WEW members.
Additional items will include: spotlights and featured articles on our website, hosting webinars for the larger community, and co-hosting WEW branded podcasts and videos to leverage our social reach. Being an elite WEW Expert is a very high-touch experience where we find the right ways to promote your expertise and give our members access to topics and instruction they may not otherwise have available to them.
Everything we offer through meetings and trainings and programs with WEW is designed to facilitate genuine, lasting connections. Our community continues to inspire and guide each other while working to build each other up.
