Q&A with Chapter Leader Amy

Why do you believe in WEW mission?

Amy: Because women supporting women is the ultimate power move—and it’s exactly what WEW is all about. WEW isn’t just another networking group; it’s a dynamic, unapologetic platform where women lift each other up, celebrate each other’s wins, and make no apologies for our ambitions. Here, we don’t shrink; we show up, boldly and authentically, to go after what we deserve. WEW creates a safe space for women to be real about our challenges, find strength in each other’s stories, and redefine success as a shared journey, not a solo mission. To me, the WEW mission is everything women in business need today—connection, resilience, and the freedom to grow on our own terms.

Darlene: I believe in the mission of WEW because building relationships is the only way to establish true connection. Business happens when others get to know you, like who you are and trust you to take care of them. I also know that working together in a collaborative environment brings more success for everyone. There’s more than enough business for everyone so competition isn’t necessary. I believe we lift as we climb by helping others succeed. Together we can accomplish anything.

What are some present and/or past organizations you have been a part of?

Amy: I’m currently an Ambassador and Committee Council Member for the Job Seekers Garden Club of St. Louis, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting job seekers in the Greater St. Louis area through career guidance, mentoring, and networking opportunities. This role has allowed me to give back to the community, connect job seekers with resources, and support their journeys in meaningful ways.

I also serve as Board Director for Certifications with the National Human Resources Association (NHRA), where I work to advance professional development and credentialing for HR practitioners. Additionally, as the founder and lead consultant of Sublimitas HR Consulting, I bring 16 years of experience blending HR and OD strategies, alongside 8 years in finance, to support small to medium-sized businesses in building strong, people-centric cultures. Throughout my career, I’ve held executive decision-making roles and partnered with numerous HR and leadership networks to drive meaningful change from within.

Darlene: Currently I’m a member of the Greater St. Charles Regional Chamber of Commerce. I was a member of Toastmasters for over 4 years and was the Public Relations Manager for the district and VP of Public Relations for my club. I was also a member of the National Speakers Association. Prior to joining WEW I was a member of Little Black Book (LBB). I was the Executive Managing Director for eWomenNetwork for almost 4 years. In addition, I used to belong to PWA, BNI and other networking groups.
