About Rung for Women

The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for leading a high-quality, seamless learning experience of Rung’s core program: a year-long career accelerator for women. This role ensures that Rung’s adult learning vision is consistently translated into strong learning experiences within the core program across curriculum, facilitation, training partnerships, and volunteer management. The Manager, Learning & Development supports and develops staff to execute high-quality programming aligned with learning objectives, manages effective training partnerships, and uses data to drive decisions that uphold and improve program quality and impact.

How You’ll Contribute

This position ensures that all Members experience a consistent, engaging, and empowering learning journey that supports their career growth and goals.

Key Responsibilities

 Lead and strengthen the Learning and Development team to deliver consistent, high-impact experiences. 

  • Manage the Learning and Development team of Rung’s core program including direct supervision, coaching and performance management.
  • Create systems, structures, clarity and support the team needs to deliver high-impact learning experiences.
  • Model strong adult learning practices and inclusive facilitation approaches.
  • Support the development and refinement of programmatic processes and assets.

Use data to drive continuous improvement across the Member learning journey. 

  • Lead monitoring and analysis of core program learning data, including skill growth, submissions, learner progress, and learning experience indicators.
  • Translate data trends into actionable improvements for curriculum, facilitation, assessments, and learner supports.
  • Establish and maintain continuous quality improvement processes, including feedback loops with learners, facilitators, colleagues, and volunteers.

 Deliver engaging, empowering learning experiences aligned to Rung’s standards.

  • Lead and provide supporting facilitation of large-group (35-75 members) weekly sessions that build Members’ power, career, and technical skills (2 evenings/week).
  • Design and adjust session guides, activities, and learning materials to achieve intended outcomes.
  • Regularly observe weekly sessions to assess skill development, member engagement, and overall learning experience.
  • Manage member learning-related processes, expectations, communications and accountability structures.
  • Manage Brightspace and Certificate Program platforms (i.e., Coursera), including:

o   Managing member enrollment in Coursera

o   Providing technical support & troubleshooting for Brightspace LMS

o   Ensuring all virtual learning assets are updated and in alignment with Rung’s learning standards.

Equip and support volunteers to execute the learning vision with excellence.

  • Train and manage volunteers to support members’ power, career, and technical skill development, including ongoing training and quality checks.
  • Observe and provide feedback to volunteers to ensure high-quality execution of learning vision.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and management of volunteers.

Build and manage training partnerships that expand quality and impact. 

  • Manage and strengthen training partnerships to ensure quality, alignment, and mutual accountability.
  • Collaborate with partners to co-design, deliver, and evaluate learning experiences aligned with program outcomes.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for learning-related coordination and quality assurance.

General program support.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of program and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Participate in member recruitment efforts and alumni programming as an ambassador of the core program.

What You Bring

  • Passion for Rung’s vision & mission
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching, training, facilitating, and/or designing for diverse learners
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in adult learning, instructional design, and/or facilitation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability with ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Leadership and people management experience, preferred
  • Familiarity or ability to quickly learn new digital tools and platforms (Canva, Brightspace LMS and Salesforce preferred)
