We Have Been Changed For Good

Get ready for the Wicked puns! I promise this vibe is ending soon, but I just can’t resist. See how many you can find. 🙂

Well, I’m still flying high (no broom required) after our Wicked private showing! What a night of connection, costumes, cackles, and community.

One of my favorite parts of the night was the inclusivity we created. Just like Elphaba dreamed of an Oz where everyone—yes, even the animals—could belong and work together, we opened our doors to both members and non-members and combined efforts with Sandy Fenili and her “STL Ladies over 40 Community and Events” group. We wanted women from every corner of our own little Oz to join us, connect, and feel welcome. And you all showed up with open hearts.

Let’s talk about our chapter leaders… because WOW. If dressing up were a sport, they’d be headed straight to the Emerald City Olympics!

But the biggest standing ovation goes to the women who came solo. You didn’t wait for a wizard to give you courage, you walked in ready to make new friends, and you absolutely crushed it. Sometimes you have to trust your instincts, close your eyes and leap.

To everyone who showed up and had a night that was nothing short of popular – thank you. I watched women connect in ways that will leave each of us a bit changed for the better… and changed FOR GOOD.

PS. Thank you for the birthday wishes and celebrating with me in the most special way. Having my daughters and mom there was the kind of magic even Elphaba couldn’t conjure using the Grimmerie. (Okay, last pun, I promise!)
