Wednesday, June 19, 2024 – 12:00 PM-1:00PM CST
Muriel Smith is an experienced non-profit professional with over 25 years of expertise in nonprofit management, community relations, marketing communications, fundraising, and board development. Her passion is helping families and individuals to live a healthy and dignified life. She has served at several nonprofit organizations in St. Louis during the course of her career. Many of which provide support services to children and families in need. For most of her career, Muriel has seen how the lack of equitable distribution of resources, such as education, food, housing, and green spaces has affected the lives of those living in underserved neighborhoods in the St. Louis community. As Executive Director of St. Louis Area Diaper Bank, an organization focused on ending diaper need and period poverty, Muriel ensures that individuals and families in the St. Louis region have access to basic need items to help take care of themselves. She has been instrumental in leading the efforts to end diaper need and period poverty in St. Louis. She is a collaborator who has garnered the respect of local nonprofits, business leaders, and community leaders. Muriel is also a graduate of two Focus St. Louis programs, Women In Leadership and Leadership St. Louis.
