Kelly Berns

My name is Kelly Berns and I am originally from Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. I am married with 3 wonderful daughters and live in Slidell, Louisiana. I met my husband, Justin, on my last ship while we were both in the U. S. Navy. He’s originally from Slidell, LA, so that’s how I wound up being a Pennsylvania transplant in Louisiana! I LOVE IT HERE! The food, the culture, the people, (no bitter cold for 5 months at a time!)…it truly is my favorite place to live. I am excited that my life’s journey brought me here. I am an animal lover and also love painting, K-Love radio, and football (Go EAGLES!). I have been in the mortgage industry for about 9 years now and I love to help people realize their dreams for homeownership while being the one to guide them on that journey. I once read “Impossible it only an opinion” and I’ve adopted that as one of my life quotes. Positivity is infectious and I do my best to leave each day better than it started. I also am a member of Slidell Ladies for Liberty. We send care packages off to our local deployed military every 3rd Wednesday of the month. I feel the draw I had to the life of service in the Navy was really a draw to just wanting to impact others positively and serve my community. I look forward to being a part of WEW and meeting like-minded women who have a passion for service like I do!
