Speaker Bio:

Denise Brady is a Life, Career and Leadership Coach who believes wholeheartedly in the Tony Robbins saying, “The only thing that’s keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling yourself”. After leaving the banking industry after 40+ years, Denise began her own coaching business that focuses on helping clients develop a story about themselves that empowers them to live a better life, obtain a career that fuels their vision, and become influential and inspiring leaders. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s in Workforce Education and Development and over 4 decades of coaching, training, and mentoring in the workplace, Denise has a lot to offer anyone struggling with their current place and progress in life. Most recently, Denise has developed a leadership program for new managers who don’t know where to start, existing managers who want to increase their effectiveness, and anyone in a leadership position who would rather leave behind a compelling legacy than a lengthy resume.

Presentation Title: Miracle on the Hudson: A Study of Growth and Courage in Leadership

On January 15th, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 took off from LaGuardia Airport in NY, headed for Charlotte, NC. On board there were 150 passengers, 2 pilots and 3 crew members for a total of 155 souls. Ninety seconds into the flawless flight, the plane hit a flock of Canadian geese, entering both engines and causing catastrophic failure of each. The plan continued to climb for 19 seconds before beginning its 4 1/2 minute decent to earth. Join us in taking a closer look at this remarkable story and how the pilot used his leadership skills to save the lives of 155 people. When life calls on you to lead through uncertainty, vulnerability, and high-risk situations, will you be ready?
