Heather L. Kemper, MFA, CFRE, ACNP, is not your average fundraising pro! With a knack for turning ideas into reality and a passion for philanthropy that’s as contagious as her smile, Heather brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to the table.

Armed with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Missouri – Columbia, and a Masters in Writing from Lindenwood University, Heather’s journey has taken some unexpected turns—including a brief stint in seminary (but that’s a story for another time!).

As a former Opinion Shaper writer for The Suburban Journals, Heather has left her mark on the media landscape, securing PR coverage in prestigious outlets like the New York Times, Times magazine, and even gracing the screens of MSNBC.

But Heather’s not just about making headlines—she’s all about making a difference. In 2016, she traded her pen for a crown when she was crowned Mrs. Missouri America. From speaking engagements across the state, inspiring children, teens, and adults alike about inner beauty and community involvement, to her recognition with accolades like the Beyond the Best Award from StreetScape Magazine and the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award, Heather’s commitment to making an impact knows no bounds.

As an international best-selling author of the chapter “From Shadows to Self-Love: Owning Your Story” in the book “Perfectly I’Mperfect,” Heather has empowered readers worldwide with her message of resilience and self-acceptance.

When she’s not busy shaking up the nonprofit world, you’ll find Heather wrangling her three amazing kids, who range from eight to eighteen—a full-time job in itself! As the Director of Advancement for Miriam School and Learning Center, she’s passionate about empowering unique learners and building a brighter future for all.

With Heather, you can expect a mix of creativity, passion, and a touch of mom magic—because changing the world is serious business, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun along the way!

Description of presentation:

Join us for an inspiring journey of self-discovery and empowerment as we dive into the theme of “Unveiling Your Truth: Embracing Imperfection and Self-Love.” Together, we’ll explore the powerful impact of owning our stories and embracing imperfection as a catalyst for deep self-love and empowerment.

Get ready for engaging discussions, personal stories, and reflective exercises that will help us navigate the challenges of distorted memories and past experiences on our sense of self-worth.

We’ll tackle the complexities of past traumas, societal pressures, and those pesky internalized beliefs that might be holding us back from recognizing our own worthiness. Drawing from our own experiences and insights, we’ll uncover practical strategies and tools to overcome these obstacles and reclaim our inner strength.
