LaTesha Rodgers is a Certified Professional Resume Writer and budding “Career Generalist,” with 10+ years of experience in the areas of career advising, staffing, and recruitment (in corporate and non-profit settings) in the St. Louis and Chicago areas. She has a passion for motivating people to tap into their inner “tick” and put their best self forward when looking to transition in their careers. Her most recent roles include serving as a Higher Education Administrator in Career Services at Southwestern Illinois College, and as Director of Talent Acquisition at Northwestern Mutual, which she left in February of this year. She is the Owner of a growing career development hub, The Tick Career Development, that has developed from a resume writing into a stafiing company. LaTesha holds a Master’s degree in Human and Community Development from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development from DePaul University.
This presentation will cover some of the common do’s and don’ts of creating a resume, and what makes a job candidate stand out during the application process.
