Laneice McGee, is grateful for the opportunity to serve individuals during their time of transition. It was not long before she recognized she was born to lead and so knowing, she pursued her bachelor’s degree in arts in Sociology from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee and continuing the road by attaining a Master’s of Science in the field of Human Services from Springfield College. Expanding her 18 years of work experience, Laneice currently serves as the District Director for the Department of Workforce Development at the W.O.W (Waukesha, Ozaukee & Washington County) District. She looks at her career as an opportunity to support others (both staff and customers) as they discover their goals and purpose through work.
Being a servant leader does not stop in the office, Laneice is the co-founder of Big, Beautiful & Blessed. This agency is committed to cultivating a positive self and body image in all women. Through their twelve-month calendar, they focus on the beauty of women with curves, size 12 and up http://www.
Laneice is on the decision-makers board of the Workforce Development Board, Services Generosity Project and The Yesterday’s Negro League Baseball Players Foundation (YNLBP).
Strongly guided by the idea of serving others, she has always been an inspiration to everyone around her because of her compassionate nature. Laneice feels that it is not just about creating a name but creating an impact. Living life to reach others. In her words, “People look for the light at the end of the tunnel, not realizing they are the light at the end of the tunnel.”
