Time Well Spent—Take a Pause

After a much-needed vacation with my family (yes, even CEOs need to unplug!), I’m returning with a full heart and a clear reminder: the most valuable thing we can give is our time—and our full presence. Whether it’s a sunset at sea or a deep belly laugh over dinner, those small moments with the people we love are what fill us up.
Life gets busy. Trust me, with six businesses, I know how easy it is to get caught in the hustle. But I fiercely protect quality time with the people who matter most. That time doesn’t just recharge me—it reminds me who I am outside of the titles, the emails, and the to-do lists.
Here’s the thing: not every connection lasts forever. Some people are in our lives for a season, a reason, or a lifetime. And yes, sometimes the realization that your new friend was only interested in you for a particular reason or connection – still feels like a middle school heartbreak. I’ve felt that sting—when you think someone is in it for the long haul, only to learn your purpose in their story was temporary.
But because I know how that feels, I try even harder to show up for people, to be present, to be real, and to never make anyone feel like they were just a chapter in my book.
As we head into the second half of May, I invite you to reconnect—with your purpose, with your people, and maybe MOST importantly, with yourself.
