Quiet Alchemy Space
I am the founder of Quiet Alchemy Space, a practice and platform supporting midlife women navigating identity transition. The work grew out of my doctoral research on burnout among midlife women, and out of my own experience of leaving an administrative role feeling depleted and slowly learning to see myself again.
Two tools anchor what I offer. The FACTOR framework (Feel, Accept, Creativity, Take Action, Optimism, Reflect) gives structure to the internal work of transition, and the Photo Harvest Journaling Method, developed from the photo elicitation methodology in my research, is a reflective practice designed to produce deeper insight than traditional journaling prompts. I share both through guided prompt journals, in-person workshops, and weekly writing at quietalchemyspace.com.
I have spent thirty years in education as a teacher, school leader, and now university lecturer, and Quiet Alchemy Space is where that experience meets the women my research showed me needed it most: women who have spent decades being capable for everyone else and are ready to turn that attention inward.

- Why You Joined WEW – I started developing my business six years ago on the side and continue to build it entirely solo. You’re in the early monetization phase, moving from building infrastructure to actually putting the work in front of people, and that’s exactly the stage where being around other women who have done it, or are doing it, matters most. I’m also actively looking for workshop opportunities, and a group like this is a natural referral network. Most of all, though, my whole business is about midlife women supporting each other through transition, and I AM a midlife woman in a professional transition myself. Joining is almost a case of practicing what my work is all about.
