Contrary to popular myth, Lucinda Perry Jones, Ed.D., believes that curious cats live long, interesting lives. A versatile leader with a distinctive blend of experience across nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors, she thrives on partnering with change-makers driven by curiosity and a passion for transformation.
Lucinda joined Habitat for Neighborhood Business as Executive Director in November 2024. She brings extensive experience in helping start-ups and medium-sized nonprofits sustainably scale programs and operations as the President and Founder of Accelerate Change Consulting. In her leadership role at Operation Food Search, she spearheaded initiatives to address the immediate and root causes of food insecurity through organizational strategy, transformational change, and innovative projects. Her career also spans key roles in philanthropy, program management, and policy—efforts that have deepened her understanding of the factors that bolster resilience and empower communities to thrive.
Holding a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Massachusetts Global, Lucinda’s research examined how CEOs harness leadership influence to motivate staff and stakeholders to reach new heights. She also earned a Master of Public Administration from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
