Mel Lambert
Speaker Bio:
Mel Lambert worked in advertising for 13 years, focusing on the healthcare and software industries, before becoming a librarian. Her interest in software and data drove her curiosity for consumer research and behaviors, which became her focus in her Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) studies. Eventually this led to her own advertising agency, where she aided startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs with their marketing plans. When the opportunity arose at the county library for her to assist those same types of businesses, using the FREE resources they so desperately needed and wanted, she jumped at the chance.
Ms. Lambert is on the board of directors and program director of the BALSA Foundation which provides grants and assistance to small businesses & entrepreneurs, and a mentor for WePower. When she isn’t at the library she enjoys eating her two favorite food groups: pizza and ice cream. To combat the effects of these food groups, she boxes twice a week and takes long hikes with her partner-in-crime Dale and dog Molly.
